BE AERO inducts Challenger 850, to add Global jets
BE AERO’s CEO Zeki Yılmazabdurrahmanoğlu, in his exclusive interview with ch-aviation, shared insights about the addition of the Bombardier Challenger 850 to our fleet and the ongoing projects with the Global Express XRS and Global 5000.
BE AERO Adds Challenger 850 to Fleet, Prepares for Global Jet Inductions
BE AERO, headquartered at Istanbul Atatürk, has expanded its fleet with the induction of a Bombardier Challenger 850 (TC-TAC). The 2012-build aircraft, previously operated in China, underwent a complete in-house refurbishment, including airworthiness inspections, painting, and full cabin upgrade. With a 15-seat VIP configuration, the Challenger 850 is positioned for mid-range operations and is now available for charter.
Chief Executive Officer Zeki Abdurrahmanoğlu stated: “Our engineering department handled all airworthiness requirements while simultaneously carrying out cosmetic improvements such as painting and cabin refurbishment. We perform the maintenance for every aircraft we operate — I want our touch on every plane we fly.”
Global Express XRS and Global 5000 on the Way
Within the next six weeks, BE AERO expects to induct both a Global Express XRS and a Global 5000. According to Abdurrahmanoğlu, “These additions will place us among the largest Turkish operators of Global-series business jets.”
Strategic Growth and AOC Expansion
Currently operating under its Turkish AOC, BE AERO manages a diverse fleet including Globals, Citation Mustangs, and Falcon 2000s. The company is also evaluating a San Marino AOC to complement its existing structure and to tap into rising demand from Central Asia.
MRO Expertise and International Expansion
While charter services continue to grow, BE AERO’s core business remains Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO), backed by over 15 years of experience. Certified by both EASA and FAA, the company services business jets such as Legacy, Challenger, Global, and Hawker families, as well as commercial narrowbodies including the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737 NG/MAX.
Operating from three hangars at Istanbul Atatürk with a workforce of nearly 400, BE AERO is planning new facilities at Istanbul Airport, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia. Cabin refurbishment and aircraft painting are also among its fastest-growing service segments.
