BE AERO CEO Zeki ABDURRAHMANOĞLU Shares Exclusive Insights with Hava Sosyal Medya
During MRO BEER 2026, held in Istanbul, BE AERO CEO Zeki ABDURRAHMANOĞLU shared his views on the company’s transformation, growth strategy, and the future of the aviation maintenance industry in an exclusive interview with Hava Sosyal Medya, the official media partner of the event.
BE AERO: Beyond Business Jet Maintenance
Mr. Abdurrahmanoğlu emphasized that BE AERO has evolved far beyond being solely a business jet maintenance provider. Through continuous investment and the expansion of its technical capabilities, the company has transformed into a comprehensive aviation solutions partner.
“At BE AERO, we do much more than aircraft maintenance. Alongside our base and line maintenance services, we provide charter operations, component maintenance and repair, engine and spare parts solutions, and a wide range of internationally certified workshop services. With our continuously developing infrastructure, strategic investments, and highly experienced workforce, we are strengthening our service portfolio every day.
Our goal is not simply to provide technical services but to become a long-term partner that delivers trust, quality, and sustainable solutions. BE AERO continues to grow as a strong aviation brand by rapidly adapting to industry changes with an innovative vision.”
A New Era Following the Nakkaş Group Acquisition
Mr. Abdurrahmanoğlu stated that BE AERO entered a significant transformation and growth phase following its integration into the Nakkaş Group.
Today, the company offers an extensive range of aviation services, including aircraft maintenance, aircraft painting, cabin refurbishment and modernization, component maintenance and repair, spare parts supply, asset management, and aircraft and aviation asset trading.
“By offering all the services our customers require under one roof, we continue to position ourselves as an integrated and reliable aviation solutions partner.”
2025: A Landmark Year of Investment and Expansion
Reflecting on 2025, Mr. Abdurrahmanoğlu described the year as a major milestone for BE AERO’s operational and organizational growth.
“The year 2025 represented not only growth but also a major transformation for our company. Starting from approximately 9,000 square meters of hangar facilities, we rapidly expanded our infrastructure by commissioning new hangars and enclosed operational areas, reaching a total operational capacity exceeding 20,000 square meters. We successfully completed these investments together with all required national and international regulatory approvals.
As a result, we significantly strengthened both our technical infrastructure and service capabilities, enabling us to provide broader, higher-quality solutions to our customers.”
He further noted that these investments represent much more than physical expansion—they have significantly enhanced BE AERO’s competitiveness in the international aviation market and laid a strong foundation for sustainable long-term growth.
Navigating Industry Challenges in 2026
Discussing the current market environment, Mr. Abdurrahmanoğlu acknowledged that global geopolitical developments continue to affect the aviation industry.
He explained that ongoing regional conflicts have reduced market demand while simultaneously increasing operational costs, creating a challenging environment for MRO providers. Nevertheless, BE AERO continues to adapt through diversified strategies and operational flexibility.
Commitment to Sustainability
Mr. Abdurrahmanoğlu also highlighted BE AERO’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
The company continues to implement internationally recognized ISO standards while integrating sustainability principles into its operational processes and long-term business strategy.
Investing in Future Aviation Professionals
Developing young talent remains one of BE AERO’s strategic priorities.
“Through our collaborations with vocational schools and universities, we offer long-term internship programs lasting between 18 and 24 months. During this period, students gain hands-on experience by actively participating in real aircraft maintenance operations while reinforcing their academic knowledge.
Successful candidates demonstrating strong potential are offered employment opportunities within BE AERO.”
He emphasized that career development continues well beyond recruitment.
“Many of our licensed technicians began their careers with us as interns. We do not simply offer jobs—we provide long-term career opportunities supported by continuous training, mentorship, and professional development programs.”
Future Vision: International Expansion and Digital Transformation
Looking ahead, Mr. Abdurrahmanoğlu explained that BE AERO’s future growth strategy is built upon expanding international capabilities and accelerating digital transformation.
“Our EASA approval processes for component maintenance workshops are progressing according to plan. These approvals will further strengthen our international service capabilities and expand our presence in global markets.
At the same time, we continue investing in digital technologies that will make our maintenance processes faster, more efficient, and fully traceable. By placing technology at the heart of our operations, we aim to enhance customer satisfaction while achieving sustainable operational excellence.”
Türkiye’s Strategic Position in the Global MRO Industry
Finally, Mr. Abdurrahmanoğlu highlighted Türkiye’s unique geographical advantage within the global Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) market.
“Türkiye is strategically located at the crossroads of Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. Within a flight radius of approximately four to five hours, we have access to hundreds of airline operators requiring maintenance services.
Equally important is our highly skilled, internationally qualified workforce, which remains one of our greatest strengths. By combining these advantages with continued investment, we firmly believe Türkiye will further increase its share of the global MRO market and strengthen its position as a leading regional maintenance hub.”
